1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile information from Google.

When you use Havn, we store the trips you create, including destinations, dates, reservations, and any notes you add. If you invite guests, we store their email addresses to manage access.

If you connect your Gmail account to sync reservations, we access your emails in read-only mode to extract travel-related bookings. We do not store the contents of your emails — only the extracted reservation data you choose to save.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Havn service
• To authenticate your identity and secure your account
• To send transactional emails (e.g., trip invitations)
• To extract reservation information from your emails when you explicitly connect your Gmail account
• To improve the service and fix issues

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Havn:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Google APIs — Gmail integration (read-only, with your explicit consent)
• Unsplash — trip cover images

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them for additional detail.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data and trips you have been invited to. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All connections use HTTPS encryption.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual trips at any time. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies

Havn uses essential cookies only, for authentication and session management. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Revoke Gmail access at any time via your Google account settings
• Export your trip data

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Havn, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Havn is a collaborative travel planning tool that allows you to create trips, add reservations, and invite others to view or edit your travel plans. The service is provided as-is and may be updated or modified at any time.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password
• You must be at least 16 years old to use Havn
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Havn for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Upload malicious content or spam
• Share your account credentials with others

5. Content & Data

You retain ownership of all content you create on Havn (trips, reservations, notes). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the service. When you share a trip with guests, they can access the trip data according to their assigned role (viewer or editor).

6. Gmail Integration

The Gmail integration is optional and requires your explicit consent. When connected, Havn accesses your Gmail in read-only mode to scan for travel-related emails. You can revoke this access at any time. Havn's use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

Havn is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data, missed reservations, or damages arising from use of the service. Reservation data extracted from emails is provided for convenience and should always be verified against original booking confirmations.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of Havn after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
